Disneyland - Summer '24

Story

This was the 1st time I had been back at Disneyland since my Senior year of High School. Grad Nite was a blur too because I was faded off a brownie the majority of the day. I knew this time around, it was going to be different. I was sober, older, and no longer in my “I have to impress these girls” phase of life. Disneyland and other amusement parks have always been a weird place for me. It’s a whole investment for something that I can’t use. Sure the memories are dope but I’m dropping feria to get on rides and get an adrenaline rush. If I was a fiend for adrenaline, I would just go hit the streets. Luckily for me, it was a free trip.

Shoutout to Natalie Hernandez, aka Mom, for helping me get a job with her back in 2024. She loves Disneyland more than anyone I have ever met. That’s her spot. She told me all this when I met her in 2012. You don’t get the nickname “Mom” for no reason but that’s a story for a different time. I remember one day she told me if I wanted to go to Disneyland with her and the rest of the office as a “Team Bonding Activity”. Dawg, I couldn’t say no. One of my dreams had always been to go to Disneyland with her.

The Summer of 2024 will always be legendary. This trip helped heal a lot of inner child wounds. I almost cried when I hugged Mickey Mouse and took that pic. I’m just glad I could remember it this time.
