1st Time in a Waymo | Vlog

Story

I have been going to Santa Monica regularly since 2012. Everyone would talk about Bay Cities Italian Deli & Bakery on Lincoln and Broadway. Soulreal lives around the corner from it but I had never gone. Foo, I was missing out. Soulreal would always tell me to go but I never did. If you’re in Santa Monica, go to Bay Cities foo, trust.

A mission to go chill with Soulreal usually goes like this: I pull up, we go get grub and snacks, we eat, watch anime for a bit, maybe listen to new music, get into a deep conversation about a random topic, and then Soulreal gets ready to make a beat. I like to rap but sitting through the process of producing a beat gets me bored and sleepy.

This time around, we had to take a break in between the music session to go visit Sticks’ studio. That foo Sticks is doing it major and I got to see his Gold plaque for the 1st time. On the way back to Soulreal’s place, we had the opportunity to take a Waymo. It was my 1st time inside a Waymo. I was tripping out at the concept of a driverless car. I won’t lie, the pessimistic thoughts crept in like “What if it breaks down?” “What if it catches on fire?” “What if we get locked inside?”. Nothing ended up happening and we got back to Soulreal’s place safely. What a unique experience.
