Memorial Day '26 | Photography

It had been years since Stayliftd and I went on a mission. This time around, it was to blast Baby Foo stickers across the city. We literally had no plan. Just us, some weed, and stickers. We were chopping it up for a bit at his pad before we headed towards DTLA. Walking, hitting the plumitz, and blasting the Baby Foo on everything we could. Luckily for me, I had my camera with me as well. Flick and move.
When we ended up in DTLA, I hit up Chino66 to see if he wanted to meet up with us at some point in the day. Se armo la cosa. There was a moment of reminiscing with Stayliftd because we walked by our old High School. It no longer exists but the memories do. It felt like 2012 / 2013 all over again. At some point, Stayliftd and I decided to go to “Cool Colors” out in Koreatown. The mission continued.
When we got to Cool Colors, we both walked out with something. I bought a pack of Posca markers and Stayliftd bought a streak. Once we finished at Cool Colors, we went back to DTLA and met up with Chino66. The next stop, Arts District Brewing Co. The day was going smoothly. These foos drank a brew and we decided to walk around Little Tokyo once we finished. It’s down the block anyways.
Normally, I enjoy Little Tokyo. However, due to our elevated mindstate, walking around the Japanese Village Plaza was giving me anxiety. We had to cut through the noise as fast as possible. Trip out on this thoe. While we were waiting for the Metro, we seen some foo run down the stairs. The juras were screaming “Stop that man, don’t let him get away”. Foo, nobody moved. It felt like a whole department of LAPD officers pulled up like roaches. Swarmed that foo trying to go back up to the street. There was a lady yelling all kinds of shit. Anti-police, anti-jew, anti-Trump. A whole rebel. Foo I’m faded ass fuck tripping out the whole time. That shit sobered me up real quick. You never know what you're gonna see when riding on public transportation.
The final stop of the mission was a trip up the Angels Flight Railway on Hill St.. That was it. We probably ran through at most 50 Baby Foo stickers. A day well spent. Keep in mind, we just kept elevating as the day went on. Probably the highest I’ve been in over 10 years. Hands down one of my favorite days of the year so far. I got to connect with the homies. It really did feel like I was back in High School for a quick sec.
