Memorial Day Weekend '24 | Photography

I’m not the type of foo to do anything special for Holidays anymore. It’s been years since I’ve cared to. A day like Memorial Day has always been just a day off. I’ve never met anyone that has died while in service. Respect and love to those who mourn during this day.
That foo POBRE$A hit me up talking about kicking it at his pad and recording a music video with Christian Rhymez. We were trying to record some visuals for that song “Los AnHELLes”. I knew it was an opportunity to take pictures as well. Tacos, music, and the homies. Sounds like fun right. This was also one of the times I decided to hang out with people who were drinking. I was still only a couple of months into my no alcohol journey so it was hard to be there. It was hot. POBRE$A and I used to black out all the time. This might’ve been one of the 1st times we kicked it where I had already given up drinking. It was an adjustment but I managed.
We ate tacos, recorded footage, took some flicks, and chopped it up about music for a while. The night was a little more active. I didn’t capture this but we ended up in Round 1 in Burbank. After that, we went to Bar 82 at the Arts District. We finished the night at the Gold Room in Echo Park. Talk about a mission. I’m telling you, it felt weird not drinking. The old me would’ve loved this night and it would’ve been the perfect day to black out.
