Story

My whole life, up until the point, I had dreamed that someone one day would want to do a professional photoshoot for me. I didn’t know who to ask or where to look. I didn’t trust social media photographers or had the $ to contract someone off the internet. Then my cousin Roberto hit me up. Roberto was a professional photographer now and was looking to practice as much as he could with people he knew. That’s when the opportunity of a lifetime landed on my lap. This is how I know the Universe is always listening.

My cousin Roberto and I had a connection beyond our Mexican ancestry. We had a creative connection. When I was in high school, I bought my 1st condenser microphone from Roberto. He hooked me up. Years later, my cousin was doing me another solid favor. I had only been back from college a couple of months but I was ready to take music seriously again. I needed photos to make me look legit and my cousin said he would provide me with those pics. I was down.

I thought my cousin was going to pull up with just a camera and a lens. Nah, he pulled up with a light, a couple of expensive lenses, and all kinds of accessories. He brought out the whole setup. I couldn’t contain my excitement. I had asked for the least, expected something good, and got the best. I know it was only 2 pictures that he sent me from that whole shoot but it was a dream come true. To this day, these are some of my favorite pictures in my collection.
