Story

I met POBRE$A and Andre Lucks back in like 2019 over some music shit. We never posted up like that, much less made music together while we were all in the same room. I have always been a fan of their music, eve back when they were still in DisguiseDaLimit. POBRE$A and I eventually formed GRHYMELYFE in 2021. When they asked me if I was down to take pictures of them while they were recording music, I said, “Let’s get rowdy”. I myself wasn’t going to work on music but that was fine with me because I wasn’t in music mode anyways.

I remember pulling up to the studio at night ready to go. It had been a couple of years since I was inside a studio and I wasn’t an artist involved with any of the tracks. It felt weird at first not gonna lie. Yeah, I wasn’t in music mode but something inside me made me feel guilty. Like why am I here and not making music myself. That’s why I just started flicking up. It would help me with the awkward feeling I had inside. It was also dope thoe because POBRE$A and Andre were both open to advice. I had never been one to be involved in the production of someone else’s music. I felt like an Executive Producer that night.

I remember it being past 3am by the end of the session and hating my life. Why did I agree to do this? I had to thug it out for the homies thoe. Now that I remember, I don’t even think that song came out.
