Story

Meeting POBRE$A back in 2019 was all about music. Then I learned that he is the owner, alongside his family, of a taco business. Quesabirria is the speciality. I had never heard of a taquero who didn’t sell asada or al pastor as the main type of taco on the menu. Birria is bomb but it was never my 1st choice. That was until I actually went to try Pobres Tacos. At that time, they were located on Pico & La Cienega but over the years, they have moved a couple blocks down. Besides that, they also sell at events as vendors. Pobres Tacos is not just a taco stand either, it’s a different experience. I’ve never felt so welcomed at a taco spot. Even my brother and my cousins said the same thing. It feels like family. Maybe I’m just biased because I got to spend time with POBRE$A and his family behind the scenes. However, I truly believe they are 1 of 1.

Fast forward to 2023 and our friendship grew to more than just music. I have always been down to help POBRE$A with some Marketing & Branding stuff. The opportunity came to go and take pictures of Pobres Tacos while they were vendors at an event here in South Central. I took some flicks for maaa boiii and his family to use for their social media pages. Plus I got to eat tacos again.
