Story

I’ve known Stayliftd since High School. We go way back. We been through some stuff together over the years. I remember in High School he wanted to start a clothing brand. He named it “Vandals”. I’ll never forget when I went with him to the Alameda Swapmeet to get 2 sample shirts printed. It was an honor to be a part of the process. Years later when I was about to start “Stay Rowdy”, the 1st person I called was Stayliftd. While “Stay Rowdy” never fully materialized, the little noise we made was thanks to Stayliftd’s ideas.

In 2025, Stayliftd decided to give it a go again. The name: “SickMinded”. Stayliftd reached out and needed my help. It was time I paid it forward. I showed up to be the photographer for the 1st “SickMinded” photoshoot. I had no idea this foo was going to pull up with carved out pumpkin heads. The homie always got creative ideas like that. I got to meet some of his people as well.

I swear dawg, I had no idea a place like that existed in LA. Little Chavo del 8 vecindad looking apartment complex in DTLA. One of the security guards started trippin for no reason too. Successful mission at the end of the day.
